Spectacular Bundanon

Spectacular Bundanon

Established in 1993, Bundanon was gifted to the Australian people by Arthur and Yvonne Boyd. This gift represents one of the most significant acts of generosity in the history of the arts in Australia.

Bundanon is located on 1,000 hectares of bush and parkland overlooking the Shoalhaven River, on the South Coast of New South Wales - just 2.5 hours South of Sydney.

Bundanon is to operate as a centre for creative arts and education, for scientific research and a place to explore the landscape and engage in First Nations history and culture. The residency program for artists, writers, musicals, dancers and performers as well as its learning programs are an investment into Australia’s creative and arts future.

This new Bundanon development incorporates radical solutions to a changing climate with a net zero energy target.  The development includes a spectacular subterranean Art Museum that sits at the heart of the new Bundanon.

Embedded in the landscape, the Art Museum will house a changing program of contemporary exhibitions and unique cultural experiences, with events and concerts presented across the site.
